About Our School !
Shalini Bhavan English Medium School is a Secondary School (affiliated to C.B.S.E Delhi, affiliation No . 930942).It is named after St. Treasa of Avila, the patroness of our School. The School was established in the year 1981 and is run by the sisters of the congregation of Teresian Carmelites, ‘Deva Matha Province’ Nagampadom, Kottayam. Our School situated in Nellanad Panchayat, Thiruvananthapuram Dist on the M.C. Road side between Vamanapuram and Venjaramoodu.

Our vision is a Young generation coming out of the institution imbibing with faith in God, equipped with most modern knowledge and possessing the best in interpersonal relationship and in duties towards the society at large.
Mission
Our mission is to provide quality education to all especially the marginalized, to serve as a venue for social justice, to instill a firm commitment to spirituality and moral values, develop skill talents and self esteem, and give response to the special needs of individual students.
Curriculum
The School is committed to the task of building future citizens . Hence we help each student, grow gracefully in the knowledge of himself and other’s by inculcating values, spiritual and moral, We also arrange Counseling and Seminars for the students at times. This has a visible impact on the students who become more cooperative and showed great interests in their studies. Our Curriculum is Carefully planned with an eye of promoting all round development of the children .General Knowledge and Computer Science are taught with equal Importance as the other subjects, for widening the knowledge of the children.
The P.T.A. plays a prominent role in the development of the institution. Regular meetings after examinations are held with the parents to evaluate the performance of their children, and suggest the possible remedial measures. The executive members meet once a month and evaluate the progress of the School. Shalini Bhavan School owes much to the encouragement and Support of the parents and well- wishers.
Smart Class is an Excellent way to make the children learn in a Practical way, where they enjoy Learning.
Shalini Bhavan with the Collaboration of Institute of Language Management Bangalore is providing Communicative English to the students which makes them perfect in English and Communication Skills.
Our School Provides a Good bus facility to all the students of important places at an affordable cost which can be paid in installments.
Celebration is a fine line between Saturday night and Sunday morning. Children love Celebration and Shalini Bhavan encourages it with no scope for Prejudice, we celebrate prominent National festivals Like Onam, Christmas, Children’s day, Independence day, etc
“A Kindness done today is the surest way to Brighter tomorrow” Keeping this in mind Shalini Bhavan students are keen to show their love and Compassion to the needy by bringing an Extra Lunch Packet to offer it to Sarvodaya Shalini Bhavan, Vattapara twice a week. It is a place where Destitute are taken care.
Every year, we arrange happy trips for Our children to different places like “Water Theme Park”, Seashore” etc… where they spend the day with play and laugh.
Every year, we celebrate the “World Environment Day” to make the Children aware of the importance of plant trees. In Collaboration with the forest Department, plant saplings are distributed to the students on that day.
